On May 9-10, 2019, the "China Automotive Information Security Sharing and Analysis Center (C-Auto ISAC) Achievement Release and Seminar" hosted by China Automotive Technology Research Center Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "China Automotive Center") and organized by China Automotive Center Data Resource Center was grandly held in Xiqing District, Tianjin. Leaders including Bi Junsheng, Director of Tianjin Communication Management Bureau, Gao Hesheng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of China Automotive Center, Fu Jingguang, Director of the Network Security Bureau of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and Liu Fawang, Executive Deputy Director of China Software Evaluation Center, attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Zheng Jihu, director of the data resource center of the China Automobile Center. More than 200 domestic and foreign experts from automobile enterprises, automobile parts enterprises, Internet companies, third-party institutions, colleges and universities, scientific research institutions, etc. gathered together to conduct in-depth discussions around the fields of intelligent connected vehicle information security, such as "sharing mechanism, standards and regulations, evaluation and certification, testing technology, OTA upgrading, and protection technology".
Gao Hesheng pointed out that automotive information security is crucial, but the overall information security field is facing problems such as insufficient talent, lack of technology, and shortage of tools, which have limited the development of the intelligent connected vehicle industry to a certain extent. In this situation, as a third-party organization in the automotive industry, China Automotive Center will continue to strengthen its information security capabilities and work with industry colleagues to build a comprehensive automotive information security ecosystem.
Fu Jingguang pointed out that network security has become the foundation and prerequisite for the healthy development of the Internet of Vehicles industry. Relevant enterprises and institutions should jointly explore and promote it, and put forward five suggestions, including implementing the main responsibility of enterprises, building security standards and testing and certification platforms, improving the network security collaborative linkage mechanism, promoting the construction of security technology platforms, and accelerating the cultivation of composite talents.
During the conference, the C-Auto-ISAC Secretariat released ten industry risks, including insecure cloud interfaces, unauthorized access, and insecure third-party components, and introduced future development plans. At the same time, experts and scholars from host manufacturers, third-party organizations, and universities were also hired to establish the Expert Guidance Committee and Expert Technical Committee of C-Auto-ISCA.
