Recently, Shenzhen Minle Charging Station officially put 172 new fast charging stations into operation. So far, this electric vehicle charging station operated by three units including Southern Power Grid has 637 fast charging piles, covering an area of 20000 square meters, becoming the world's largest electric vehicle fast charging station.
The Minle Charging Station is located in Longhua District, Shenzhen, and can provide charging services for nearly 5000 electric vehicles every day. As one of the three major operators, Southern Power Grid Corporation is responsible for the operation of 327 fast charging stations, among which 70 newly built 60 kW DC charging stations adopt a new type of constant power charging module, which can meet the charging current and voltage requirements of all vehicles on the market. The charging speed of these 70 new DC charging stations is about 20% to 30% faster than ordinary fast charging stations, "said Chen Haozhou, Deputy Director of Southern Power Grid Electric Vehicle Service Co., Ltd.
It is reported that currently, Southern Power Grid Corporation has invested a total of 3.1 billion yuan to build about 23000 charging piles, covering major cities in five provinces and regions in the south.
